Public Works

Responsibilities
The department maintains and repairs the Township’s 57+ miles of roads, neighborhood and community parks and municipal buildings. Snow plowing, storm water pipe and inlet installation, pot hole patching, light mechanical, building and equipment maintenance are just some of the jobs that the hard-working department personnel tackle. The 25+ miles of state roads in the Township are maintained by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.

We encourage residents to call on these issues:
  • Trees laying across roadway or street
  • All street and roadway signs down or damaged
  • Pot holes
  • Sight distance problems at intersections
  • Traffic lights out
  • Street lights out
  • Storm water problems
  • Road and Street problems
State Roads
