The West Lampeter Township Police Chaplaincy Program was established to provide spiritual guidance, assistance, and support to the citizens and law enforcement personnel of West Lampeter Township as deemed necessary through violent and traumatic situations that arise. Our Police Chaplains are called on to assist Police Officers in situations such as death notifications necessary due to murder, suicide, accident, or natural cause. They also assist with bereavement counseling if requested by families suffering a loss. In time of personal need resulting from duty-related injury, including the aftermath of shootings by or of police officers, they also provide support to police personnel and/or their families during time of crisis. We are very fortunate to have these professionals serving in the capacity of Police Chaplain, whose services are provided strictly on a volunteer basis. Their contribution to the Department, and the community as well, is a valued asset to the services rendered through the West Lampeter Township Police Department.
